Welcome
So you want to write?
The philosopher, Epictetus, (born c.50AD) said: ‘If you wish to be a writer, write.’ But how do you begin? More importantly, how do you carry on? Starting something is the hardest part.
When it comes to writing, the second hardest part is finishing. The world is strewn with unfinished short stories, plays and script ideas, half-finished novels, family histories and first draft articles. The articles on this website will help you with the craft of writing, offering you skills and techniques for a number of genres.
Almost anyone can learn the craft of writing. What cannot be taught is the drive to get the job done. That is up to you. So before you start writing, make a commitment to yourself that you will finish whatever it is that you start.
